Yocha Dehe Golf Club at Cache Creek Casino Resort is nestled in the Capay Valley in Brooks, CA. Barry Design Associates (BDA) worked with Yocha Dehe Wintum Nation to create a beautiful clubhouse to complement their luxury golf course. The design keeps true to the valley landscaping and heritage of the Native American people, and is the ideal location for both golf enthusiasts and private events.
The property includes a luxury golf course, private lake, ceremonial gardens, golf shop and dining. BDA created a natural flow from the outdoors to the inside with a river stone flooring pattern, an abundance of windows, and foliage. The native and natural elements continue from the entryway into the Bahtehta Bar and Restaurant, beautifully designed using Native American-inspired upholstery and mahogany fruit wood resin table tops. A floor-to-ceiling slate fireplace seamlessly blends in with the panoramic views of the Yocha Dehe Golf Course.
For the Clubhouse, Barry Design Associates stayed true to the history of the land while introducing modern functionality and technology. Area rugs and carpet, installed for noise absorption, and walkways, door hardware and the restroom, were chosen to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
The golf shop’s products, which include golf clubs, bags, shirts, shoes and hats, are displayed on custom wood pieces designed by BDA. Leather lounge chairs, a wood ceiling and large windows continue to bring the outside in.
